A partially working key: define the goal
If the casing is cracked but starting works, report both. If one button works and another does not, identify each. Partial function helps define focused assessment and any spare request. External breakage alone does not establish a need for a new key or vehicle-system work.
Keep detached parts and photograph the current key without further dismantling. Report the timing, a drop, moisture or change after earlier work. Mention another key’s known functions. Observations already made can begin the inquiry without repeated diagnostic attempts by neighbors or relatives.
Assessing options for a damaged keyYou are in the apartment; the car is in the garage
A location sent from the apartment may identify the building but not the car’s space. Add the garage entrance, level and space or pillar number. Identify the relevant entrance where several exist. The street and number provide a base; parking details make it a workable meeting destination.
Decide who comes down with the requested key and information. If you must leave, update the plan rather than assuming someone else can replace you. Opening a gate is only part of preparation; a contact beside the car must understand the request and participate in testing.
The car and keys move between two drivers
If another driver still uses the car, your being home does not mean the vehicle is parked there. Choose a period when the car and necessary key are together and say who brings a spare. Suggested times remain subject to availability and suitability rather than an unconfirmed return estimate.
If the car moves to the street or another parking space, update location and access before departure. Report changes in key function too. A car opened with an available spare has different access conditions from the locked, unresponsive situation initially described.
Missing and damaged keys need different preparation
With a key in hand, send a photo and present functions. With no available key, say whether one is held elsewhere or every key is lost. Do not use the same general repair request for both. Make, model, year and access conditions help establish the options.
For another person’s or a company vehicle, ask about authorization requirements. Presence in the building garage does not replace verification. Clarify whether the goal is restored use or an additional key while everything works; the intended result shapes the work.
Preparing when no car key is availableAgree scope before entering the garage
Report a gate, posted height limit or building-management approval if relevant. Ask what the quote includes in attendance, parts and testing. Clarify inspection-dependent costs and how changes are approved. Availability for Tzur Yitzhak and vehicle suitability are checked for each inquiry.
At completion, test agreed functions and the keys requested. Make sure another driver receives the explanation of what was supplied and the work covered. Ask about the applicable warranty so someone collecting the car later also understands a new or repaired key.
Near the community center: add the parking location
Tzur Yitzhak’s local committee website lists the community center at 2 Nahal Alexander Street. If the car is nearby, use the name and address as a landmark and describe its actual position. Say if you wait at the center entrance while the car is in another space.
The website identifies the center, not public parking, a free space or service-vehicle entry permission. Agree access from your location and current signs. If the meeting moves to a nearby building garage, send its new address, entrance and space; the former landmark no longer identifies the car.
