Remote buttons and KESSY: which function fails?
Škoda's official Israeli Octavia document page lists Remote Key and a KESSY component separately. When discussing a key, describe both remote functions and smart access if your car has it.
If the remote button unlocks the car but touching the handle does not, explain the difference and whether another key behaves similarly. The conformity documents are not a list of keys that can be ordered for every Octavia.
Smart access and remote functionsIdentify the Octavia year and version
The model name alone is insufficient for ordering a part. Provide the year, starting method and existing key details. Mention any known import from another market. The original vehicle manual can help describe the system.
If version details are missing, provide the VIN privately to the business when needed. You do not need to publish it on the website or upload a publicly visible registration photo to begin an enquiry.
An Octavia key that looks like a Volkswagen key
Similar cases, badges or button counts do not prove compatibility. If you found a low-cost remote or have a used key, send its details before buying or arranging programming.
For a new key quote, ask for the part, blade and functions to be checked. Door unlocking alone does not meet a request for a complete driving spare.
Checks when ordering a new or used remoteSpares for company, leased or shared Octavias
Agree with the person responsible for the car who orders the work and receives the key. Clarify whether all remote and access functions are required, and when the car and existing key will be available for testing.
Mention a key lost by a previous driver separately from the spare request. Ask about its permissions and mechanical access, depending on the system and the vehicle owner's agreement.
Arrange a key for a company or leased carEvery key lost, or a key locked inside?
A working key inside a locked car first calls for an entry enquiry. With no working key, ask about replacement after loss. Provide the lock status and location to assess the work and visit.
After preparation, check unlocking, locking and starting. Check handle access if it belongs to your system and the agreed work. Test any remaining original key too.
